Race Across Virginia Details

We have a two options for Virginia.

VA01 – Border to Border (9 marathons)

With exception of Stages 4 and 5 (near Richmond), we will be following U.S. Bicycle Route 1. This choice gives us the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful countryside of rural Virginia while at the same time, reducing the amount of traffic with which we must contend.

The White House is located at the East portion of the National Mall in Washington DC.

On the final day, we will pick up the Mt. Vernon Trail eventually crossing the Potomac River along the Arlington Memorial Bridge and running past the Lincoln Memorial. Continuing along the National Mall, we will run towards the White House at the other end. Here, if all goes well, we will be invited onto the Front Lawn with the goal of thanking the First Lady for her support for children’s fitness.

This is part of the Race Across USA marathon series. You will be running with the Core Team who are going coast to coast from California to Washington DC. Runners need to arrive the night before at 5pm to check-in.
